Peppermint Lip Balm
Peppermint lip balm is a perfect stocking stuffer for the holidays. Don’t leave these in stockings that are over a fireplace because they will melt! If you’re looking for other homemade gifts, check this out. The recipe I’m listing makes about 16 tubes of lip balm, so you’ll have plenty to give away. If you like Burt’s Bees, I guarantee you’ll like this too. The more peppermint essential oil you add, the mintier it will be, which is how I like it. Check out the recipe below.

I used these essential oils in this lip balm.
Use these pipettes to get the liquid inside the lip balm tubes.
- 1 oz beeswax
- 1.75 oz coconut oil
- 0.5 oz shea butter
- 1/4 tsp honey
- peppermint essential oil (I used ~25 drops)
- empty lip balm tubes
- Prepare your tubes. Uncap them and put them off to the side.
- Heat the beeswax, coconut oil, shea butter, and honey in a double boiler. Melt the ingredients, then turn the heat to low and add the essential oil. Stir well.
- Use a pipette to drop the mixture into the empty lip balm tubes. Fill until almost overflowing. There should be about 16 tubes filled with this amount.
